Gaining access to outlook e-mail when not using my computer

Question:

I actually was able to get on my webmail and it showed me no new messages. This has occured since I started using microsoft outlook. How do I access my e-mail when I'm not on my own computer????

Answer:

It sounds like you have your Outlook configured to delete messages from the server when they are downloaded. If you intend to access email frequently using both webmail and Outlook, then the best solution for you would be to configure Outlook using IMAP rather than POP3. POP3 will delete messages from the server depending on how you have things configured. IMAP keeps everything on the server and deletes messages as you delete them in Outlook OR via webmail.
